Do I need to hold crypto to use this? +
No. Most merchants set their payout preference to auto-convert to USD. The customer pays in crypto, we handle the conversion, you receive dollars. You never touch a wallet if you don't want to.
What does it cost? +
A flat 1.99% per transaction on both Commerce and Invoice, with no monthly fees. Full pricing on each product page.
Is this safe for my customers? +
Yes. Customers pay from their own wallet to a checkout address we generate per order. They never give SouthPay their seed phrase, their card, or any sensitive credential. The transaction is on-chain and verifiable by them.
What's the volatility risk? +
Zero if you settle in USD. The price your customer sees at checkout is locked for a short window, and we convert at the rate we showed them. If you choose to hold the crypto, you take on whatever price moves happen after that.
Which currencies does SouthPay settle to? +
We settle to most major fiat currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, BRL, MXN, CAD, AUD, CHF, JPY, SEK, NOK, and DKK, plus stablecoins (USDC, USDT) if you'd rather stay on-chain. Pick your payout currency in the dashboard and we handle the conversion at the market rate at settlement. If you need a currency we don't list, email [email protected] and we'll add it if we can.
Do I need to understand crypto? +
No. No knowledge of crypto is required. You accept the payment and we send it to your bank account on whatever payout schedule you choose. The complexity stays on our side.
Do I need to have multiple wallets? +
No. We do a single payout to whatever wallet (or bank account) you're already using - even if your customers pay with 60+ different cryptocurrencies across multiple chains.
